More direct flights from more destinations are heading to the Bahamas, making this vacation paradise a non-stop, no-layover breeze. Our national airline, Bahamasair, just added direct flights from Houston, and will soon be offering the same from Chicago.
That’s in addition to Bahamasair daily flights from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach and Orlando.
A prime example of this growth in options is the fact that 30 years ago American Airlines started service with a single flight to Nassau; American Airlines now offers more than 130 weekly flights to six destinations in the country.
Flights going straight to Exuma International Airport are also increasing, with Air Canada flying in from Toronto, Delta from Atlanta and American Eagle from both Charlotte and Miami.
Enjoying the laidback lifestyle of Exuma is made easier when getting here directly—it puts you in the island frame of mind even before you land.
