The 13th annual Bahamian Music and Heritage Festival will take place Thursday, March 8 through Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Regatta Park in Georgetown. 2018’s theme of “Cultural Diversity, Island by Island” is sure to provide a delightful spectacle for locals and tourists alike.

This exciting event is for the entire family, with educational storytelling, singing, poetry reading, ‘How To’ demonstrations, dance lessons, a Bahamian sloop (boat) exhibition plus sugar cane peeling, onion peeling and conch cracking contests as well as culinary and bartending competitions. Also, be sure and check out the Heritage Corner, which highlights Bahamian history, arts and crafts while offering select items for sale.

Each night of the Festival features both nationally and locally regarded gospel and secular musicians, creating a truly unique cultural experience you can only find on Exuma. The festivities begin at noon, but locals usually attend during the late afternoon/early evening (the coolest part of the day).
